August 4, 2025 — Progressive rock/fusion collective Fearful Symmetry proudly unveils their new single, “One by One,” now streaming across all major platforms. The track offers an exciting preview of the band’s forthcoming full-length album, I’ve Started, So I’ll Finish…, set for worldwide release on September 5, 2025 via ProgRock.com’s Essentials.
Founded in 2018 by cousins Suzi James and Jeremy Shotts, Fearful Symmetry is a studio-based project driven by a shared passion for the rich legacy of progressive music. The group blends classic influences with a modern, genre-spanning approach, crafting music that feels both familiar and forward-thinking. As the band describes it: “An affectionate homage to classic prog, but with contemporary compositions that cross different sub-genres.”
The new album continues Fearful Symmetry’s distinctive fusion of progressive rock, jazz, and world music elements, featuring lush instrumental textures and thoughtful arrangements. I’ve Started, So I’ll Finish… showcases Suzi James’s impressive range as a multi-instrumentalist, with contributions on guitar, bass, keyboards, violin, flute, mandolin, and oud. Vocalist Yael Shotts and drummer Sharon Petrover round out the core trio, adding dynamic energy and emotional resonance to the project.
