As if he wasn’t in enough bands, it looks like Mike Portnoy is about to revisit his roots by forming yet another band, this time a progressive metal supergroup. Portnoy posted an image on his Facebook page yesterday, March 1st, behind a large drum kit, with the hashtag #progmetalsupergroup and the message:
“Hmmmm….what have we here??
I’m in LA recording an album with something NEW…
Sorry, this is all you’re gonna get outta me on this for a while…More will be revealed at a later date…stay tuned!
We have no other details at the moment, but this looks like it could be another killer project by Mr. Portnoy.
