Nick Andreas

Name : Nick Andreas

Role : Dj

YOB : 1986

Location: Allentown, PA, USA

Show: When Prog and Power Unite (Since 2008)

BIO:

Nick is a Funeral Director by day, and full time prog lover by night. Although still young by classic prog standards, his appreciation from the genre spans those bands that are his contemporaries, as well as many that started well before he was born.

When Prog and Power Unite (www.wpapu.com) airs on Wednesday nights, 5-8pm Central (11pm-2am UTC). The show runs much of the prog spectrum, and tends to have more progressive metal than its counterparts on the station. And some other metal is sprinkled in for extra flavor. Listener requests are always welcomed, and we try to keep up and spread all the new and exciting prog music being made around the world.

YOB : 1953

Location : Carmarthen, Wales

Show : Check it Out

BIO:

Dj PeterProg, also known as Peter O’Neill, is employed at a private hospital, after a career in the Meteorological Office. I have fond memories of visiting the local Memorial Hall ( still there today ! ), where rock bands of all description, would play on a weekly basis. I soon noticed that some were very different, tracks were longer, some experimental, I was to learn, it was Progressive Music !!

The music has been a big part of my life ever since.

CHECK IT OUT with Dj PETERPROG, the name comes from the fact that each and every week, I shall bring listeners NEW music, with my Album Of the Week Feature, where I will play 4 or 5 tracks, from a new album spread through the show.

Join me Fridays 7pm UK time !!

I’ll second Leonardo’s comment. I’ve spent years at Radio Free Phoenix and Radio Keneally but for the last couple of months I’m quite content here at Progrock.com and finding out more awesome sounds than I could’ve imagined. Keep up the awesome job you’re all doing!

    Cheers,

    Bill

Well there was a bunch of crap from ’11 – ’12 there for sure, but nothing new,…and there won’t be any more – twitter account terminated! 🙂

Okay, I went and looked at Twitter and find I must have been hacked as I haven’t logged into Twitter since I opened account in 2010! Although I see no activity on my account other than “I made extra cash – ask me how” since 2012 – is that what you’re talking about regarding ‘marketing’?

Hi Mark and all at PROGROCK.COM. I just wanted to say thank you for saving my sanity. I have been listening for a couple of years here in the UK after finally losing patience with our radio stations playing endless dross. A special thank you to introducing me to a raft of music/artists that I didn’t even know existed (special mention for Kevin Gilbert here). My brother is also now regularly tuned in. Awesome music 24/7.

I’ve got an internet radio with thousands of channels, but what’s the point? I only listen to progrock.com 🙂 The only thing I’m missing is a playlist, to find the music I’ve noticed during the night.
